I'm Jennifer Pollard — a Florida-certified educator who has spent the last 25+ years learning what makes K–6 readers, writers, and mathematicians thrive. After much prayer and reflection, I have taken a leave of absence from full-time teaching to pour even more of my heart into tutoring families like yours.
My story.
I started teaching in a Florida public-school classroom the year before some of my current students’ parents were even born. Across more than 25 years in education, I taught nearly every elementary grade — kindergarteners learning to hold a pencil, fifth-graders piecing together their first real essays, and everyone in between. I also spent part of those years serving as a Curriculum Resource Teacher, supporting and training fellow educators and helping strengthen instruction beyond my own classroom.
Along the way, I earned my Reading Endorsement and ESOL Endorsement, worked with children on IEPs and 504 plans, and supported families through the Florida Step Up for Students program. The thing that hasn't changed: a deep belief that every child can grow when the teaching meets them where they are.
I founded Gifted to Grow to give children thoughtful, personal support. As the practice grows, your child may work with one of the trusted tutors I personally oversee, while I remain directly involved with your family and your child's progress.

My faith is part of who I am. It's the steadiness on slow days, the belief that each child is wonderfully made, the quiet confidence that growth — even tiny growth — is worth celebrating.
