Has your child received tutoring before?

Educational Plans and School-Based Support

Please share any current school-based plans or interventions that may help me support your child. You do not need to upload private records. A brief summary of the goals and areas of focus is sufficient.

Does your child currently have an Individualized Education Program (IEP)?
Does your child currently have a Section 504 Plan?
Is your child currently receiving support through MTSS or RTI at school?

Sharing this information is optional and is used only to help tailor educational support. Gifted To Grow Tutoring does not diagnose disabilities, provide clinical services, or replace services delivered by the school.

Gifted To Grow Tutoring Partnership Agreement

Thank you for choosing Gifted To Grow Tutoring.

I believe tutoring is most effective when it is built on trust, communication, consistency, and partnership. My role is not simply to complete assignments with your child. My goal is to meet your child where they are, recognize their unique gifts and abilities, and provide instruction tailored to their academic needs and learning style.

Every child learns differently. Tutoring sessions may include targeted skill instruction, hands-on learning, guided practice, academic review, encouragement, and strategies designed specifically for your child.

The strongest progress happens when the tutor, parent or guardian, student, and, when appropriate, classroom teacher work together as an educational team.

My Commitment to Your Child and Family

  • Meet your child where they are academically
  • Recognize and build upon your child’s strengths and gifts
  • Tailor tutoring to your child’s individual learning needs
  • Use hands-on, visual, verbal, and other learning approaches when appropriate
  • Address specific areas of academic need
  • Encourage confidence, perseverance, and growth
  • Prepare for each scheduled session
  • Communicate honestly and respectfully with parents
  • Share meaningful observations about progress and concerns
  • Partner with the classroom teacher when appropriate and authorized
  • Treat your child with patience, dignity, and encouragement
  • Respect your family’s time

The Family’s Role in the Partnership

  • Support consistent attendance
  • Communicate directly and promptly about concerns or schedule changes
  • Share information that may help Jennifer understand and support the child
  • Encourage the child to participate and arrive ready to learn
  • Inform Jennifer of important classroom goals, assignments, or teacher feedback
  • Understand that academic growth takes time, consistency, and practice
  • Ask questions and communicate openly when something is not working
  • Work collaboratively toward the child’s individual goals
  • Respect the tutoring time reserved specifically for the child

Communication and Collaboration

I want parents to feel comfortable communicating with me. If you have a concern, question, schedule issue, or new information about your child, please contact me directly.

When appropriate and with parent permission, I am also willing to communicate with your child’s classroom teacher so that tutoring can support current classroom goals and needs.

Our shared purpose is to help your child grow academically, build confidence, and recognize the gifts and abilities they already possess.

Educational Philosophy

At Gifted To Grow Tutoring, every child is viewed as uniquely gifted and capable of growth. Tutoring is tailored to the child rather than expecting every child to learn in exactly the same way.

My goal is to provide instruction with patience, encouragement, honesty, compassion, and respect. I believe families and educators accomplish more when we work together with a shared commitment to the child.

Attendance, Scheduling, and Cancellation Policy

Consistent attendance is an important part of a child’s academic progress. Each tutoring time is reserved specifically for one student, and regular attendance allows each session to build on the last.

The following policy protects reserved tutoring time, supports consistency for students, and keeps expectations clear while leaving room for direct, compassionate communication when genuine emergencies arise.

More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

If you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session, please contact Jennifer directly as soon as possible.

When more than 24 hours’ notice is provided, there is no cancellation fee as long as the parent or guardian contacts Jennifer directly to discuss the cancellation or possible rescheduling.

Less Than 24 Hours’ Notice

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled tutoring session will be charged 50% of the scheduled session fee.

Rolling 90-Day Cancellation Policy

To support consistency and protect each student’s reserved tutoring time, cancellations and rescheduling requests are tracked within a rolling 90-day period.

A rolling 90-day period means that on the date of any cancellation or rescheduling request, the previous 90 calendar days are reviewed.

This is not based on a school quarter, semester, calendar quarter, or fixed date range. Both cancellations and rescheduling requests count toward the rolling 90-day total, whether they occur with more than or less than 24 hours’ notice.

If a family has three cancellations or rescheduling requests within any rolling 90-day period, the third occurrence will be charged 100% of the scheduled session fee.

Any additional cancellations or rescheduling requests that fall within the same rolling 90-day window may also be charged at 100% of the scheduled session fee, subject to direct discussion with Jennifer.

As older cancellations move beyond 90 calendar days, they no longer count toward the current rolling 90-day total.

Example: If sessions are canceled on January 10, February 5, and March 20, all three fall within a 90-day window. The March 20 cancellation is the third occurrence and may be charged at the full session fee. Once the January 10 cancellation becomes more than 90 calendar days old, it no longer counts toward the current total.

The website and chatbot do not automatically calculate or waive charges. Specific emergencies may be reviewed directly with Jennifer.

Illnesses, Emergencies, and Communication

I understand that illnesses, injuries, family emergencies, and unexpected situations happen.

If your child is unable to attend a tutoring session, please contact me as soon as possible. Open communication allows us to discuss the circumstances and determine the most appropriate next step.

Genuine emergencies will be considered with compassion and understanding. At the same time, consistent attendance remains important for your child’s progress and for maintaining the tutoring time reserved specifically for your family.

No-Show Policy

If a student does not attend a scheduled tutoring session and Jennifer has not received communication before the session begins, the appointment will be considered a no-show and will be charged at 100% of the scheduled session fee.

Jennifer’s Commitment to Your Family

I value your family’s time and am committed to being dependable, prepared, and respectful of the tutoring schedule we have established together.

Whenever possible, I will provide more than 24 hours’ notice if I need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring session. When more than 24 hours’ notice is provided, we will communicate directly and work together to find another appropriate time. No automatic discount or financial credit will be applied in that situation.

If I must cancel a tutoring session with less than 24 hours’ notice because of illness, a family emergency, or another unavoidable circumstance, your next scheduled tutoring session will receive a 50% discount as a courtesy.

This courtesy applies to occasional and unexpected cancellations initiated by Jennifer. It does not automatically apply to weather-related closures, hurricanes, widespread power or internet outages, government closures, community emergencies, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond either party’s reasonable control.

When a situation beyond either party’s reasonable control occurs, Jennifer and the family will communicate directly and determine the most appropriate next step on a case-by-case basis.

My goal is to communicate openly, respect your family’s time, and provide the same level of consideration that I ask from the families I serve.

Policy Purpose

This policy exists to support children through consistent instruction, protect time reserved for each student, maintain fairness among families, and create a tutoring relationship built on communication, empathy, dependability, and mutual respect.
